The artist behind this lovely gallery is called Hilde Sam and they keep themselves busy with a lot more than painting vulva's. For this next Erotic Art Gallery, we therefore wanted to shine a light on their erotic, sexy and inclusive illustrations. Scroll down to dive into their diverse paintings and their thoughtful answers. We hope that you are as excited as we are!
This is the Erotic Art Gallery of — Sam Hil. Enjoy!

Sam Hil Atalanta (they/them) is an illustrator and painter, living and working in Amsterdam.
They love creating portraits, and they enjoy working in different styles. They work with various media such as oil paint, watercolour and digital art. Their work revolves around diversity, sexuality and inclusivity. In their work Hilde Sam likes to play with gender, and many of the characters they paint have a softness and gentleness in their expression.
Besides making portraits, Hilde Sam is working on several other projects. With The Vulva Gallery they focus on vulva diversity and sexual health education, and with The Body Diversity Gallery they have broadened this approach to celebrate all kinds of body parts. With You're Welcome Club they focus on inclusivity and sexuality.

The fascination with bodily diversity, sexuality, human connection and representation of non-normative interactions. All my work is infused with these elements, as they endlessly inspire me. Growing up in a world where I didn’t see myself represented in art or popular media, I remember how I felt when I saw someone like me for the first time in a magazine. It sparked so much joy, I felt seen and affirmed – I felt like I belonged. With my work I want to help create a world in which people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences feel seen and supported.

For me that’s a setting in which I feel safe, warm and welcome – both physically and within the interaction with my lover(s). It’s a cozy and soft environment, with soft lighting, a soft bed or big couch or something soft to lie down on, maybe with some soft music and a warm bath to start with. I suppose I’m a sucker for softness (: But yeah, with all kinds of sexual explorations (whether it’s vanilla or kinky), I do love soft, safe and warm environments. It helps me relax, and for me that’s the best way towards opening up and letting go ✨
This is something I’m still very much learning to do. Pleasure comes in many forms, and I’ve learned that I need to create time and space for moments of pleasure in my life. When I started working as a full-time independent creator I realised that it’s really easy to get overwhelmed with work and to forget about implementing moments of pleasure in my life. Especially sex easily gets pushed to the background when I’m stressed or when there are deadlines to make.
I’m slowly learning that it’s really important for me to include pleasure in my life, and to dedicate specific moments to this during my week (and to consciously be present during those moments). This year will be all about pursuing more moments of pleasure and joy, with myself and others (:
