Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pleasure Society?

Pleasure Society is a pleasure curator based in Amsterdam. We shape how sexuality, intimacy, and joy are experienced and understood — through events, editorial content, a radio show, campaigns, and cultural collaborations. We create spaces where pleasure can be explored openly, without shame or awkwardness.

Is Pleasure Society a sex shop?

No. We're a cultural platform. We explore sexuality and pleasure through storytelling, education, community, and art. Our shop carries the Pleasure Cards game, but our work goes far beyond retail — think festivals, museum programs, podcasts, and public campaigns.

Who is Pleasure Society for?

Anyone who's curious. We make content and experiences for open-minded adults who believe pleasure — in all its forms — deserves to be taken seriously and talked about honestly.

What are Pleasure Cards?

Pleasure Cards is a flirty card game that gets you talking (and thinking) about sexuality. No shame, just juicy questions designed to spark curiosity, connection, and maybe a little heat — whether you're playing with a partner, friends, or solo.

Who are Pleasure Cards for?

Anyone who wants deeper, more honest conversations about sex and desire. They make a great gift for couples, close friends, or anyone who's ready to go beyond small talk.

How do I order Pleasure Cards?

You can order directly through our webshop. We ship within the Netherlands and internationally.

What if my order doesn't arrive or something is wrong?

Reach out to us at hello@pleasuresociety.nl and we'll sort it out. Please include your order number and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What kind of events does Pleasure Society organise?

We host and collaborate on a wide range of cultural programming — from workshops and panel discussions to festival stages and museum events. Each event is designed to bring people together around themes of sexuality, intimacy, and pleasure in an open, creative and playful setting.

How do I find out about upcoming events?

Check our agenda at pleasuresociety.nl/agenda, or sign up for our monthly Pleasure Mag to get updates delivered straight to your inbox.

What is the Schaamteloos / Shameless campaign?

Together with The Oh Collective and The Vulva Gallery, we launched Schaamteloos to replace the Dutch word 'schaamlippen' — literally "shame lips" — with the more neutral 'vulvalippen'. Language shapes how we feel about our bodies, and we believe shame has no place in that conversation.

Can I collaborate with Pleasure Society?

Yes, and we'd love to hear from you. We work with artists, educators, brands, and organisations who share our values. Get in touch at hello@pleasuresociety.nl.
